Agreed. First class Monday should be here Tuesday. That's my usual experience with amazon.

I can't see how they would be selective as they have a policy where on pre-orders you all pay the lowest price so even people who ordered it all that time ago for say £40 will only pay what it is priced at on release which is £27ish

Not in my experience! Even last week I ordered two different items sent via 1st class and it took 2 days for each. Maybe I live in the middle of nowhere .

I spoke to someone from Amazon and they said my order hasn't been affected by the stock issues and that it would definitely arrive on the 15th...not that there's anything I can do by that time if it doesn't. I'll give Amazon the benefit of the doubt this time and keep the order.

They told me they couldn't confirm if anyone would get it. They said to contact if I hadn't had a dispatch notification on the 14th...

At this point (unless it doesn't dispatch on Monday) it's going to be too much effort to see if it turns up on Tuesday, go to a supermarket if it doesn't and then send the Amazon copy back when it finally arrives. I'm going to leave it unless it doesn't send on Monday, of course, and take it as a lesson learned about Amazon's pre-orders.

Similar to dan25730 I've also got an equally exciting package arriving on Tuesday so at least I've got something to do even if it's not looting dungeons.

Yeah, if it doesn't arrive by Tuesday I will buy from a supermarket and won't pre order from Amazon again.

Out of interest, would it be possible to return the Amazon game back to the supermarket if I have to pay more in store for it? Are all versions of the game (other than ce) identical looking?

Well considering most peeps seemed to get their tesco orders yesterday and I received a despatch notification this morning, I'll be hoping for it in tomorrow's post. shame my main system is out of action tho!

yes exactly , from the second you walk into a supermarket they are trying to deceive you. Tesco made 2.5 billion profit last year so try not to feel too bad !

I got mine from MMOGA and it was £37.76 which I thought wasn't too bad, key emailed straight through and I have installed the launcher and ready to go now. Painless really

Got a £5 code for the site, not sure what I would use it for but doesn't hurt to have.

Why do retailers shoot themselves in the foot, so unnecessarily...

do they not realise that there are lots of online communities that talk about this thing and reputations can be damaged.

especially with a game like this which had been heavily anticipated for YEARS!!

You can have it but it says it can only be used for Diablo 3 items so not sure it will work.

How many starter edition passes do you get with the game? If anyone doesn't need one of theirs I'd be grateful for it and can pass on one of mine to an AVFer when the Amazon order arrives .

Email response from Amazon, seems they have had a "technical" problem.....looks like I should still receive the game by Tuesday otherwise I won't use Amazon for pre orders again.

.................

Hello,

Thank you very much for the time you’ve taken in writing to us again at Amazon.co.uk.*My name is xxx and I am a member of the Customer escalation team.I understand from your message that you wish to know when your order #xxx will be dispatched.I've checked our records and can see that your order was scheduled to be dispatched on*May 12, 2012*for an estimated delivery onMay 15, 2012.Unfortunately, Due to an technical issue, this item was not dispatched as per the schedule. However, As my colleague previously mentioned, We still expect to deliver your order by the date listed in Your Account:*May 15, 2012.In any case, If you do not receive your order by the estimated delivery date, please let us know by replying to this email.

If not save it and treat yourself, I'm not bothered about it.
