New Gaming PC

What's up everyone, excuse my self involved first post here.

I've not had the best results from asking people already and I am a bit of a n00b when it comes to these thing so I thought I'd ask some people that know what they're talking about. Even if it is a little too late.

I recently purchased a new customized gaming PC. I'd like to know what're the best games (most demanding) It will be able to handle. People have told me many things and it's unfortunate that the CPU they suggested wasn't available from the site I was buying from anyway.

Here are the specs.

Your views would be greatly appreciated. Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

Metro 2033 !! That will rape your rig and giggle after. I just bought a new GTX 680 and can run just about any game on ultra apart from that monster.

So you're saying it won't run that game?

It will definitely run on your rig but you'll probably have to tone down the graphics to do so. Even more so if you're running higher than 1080p. I know some on here would rather forego a game than play it at anything less than highest settings.

I'm not one of those thankfully! But what of more modern games! I mean, is Metro 2033 more intensive than latest releases for instance? I notice the computer comes with "FARCRY 3, SLEEPING DOGS & HITMAN"

It isn't more intensive it is just a **** port hence why you can't run it on max settings without SLI.

Not sure about Sleeping Dogs as I don't have it, but even the other two will give your system a good workout at highest settings.

This is the kind of answer I like. I've been told the CPU will bottleneck the GFX card. What're your thoughts?

If its going to properly bottleneck it'll be in cpu intensive games, and theyre pretty rare, stuff like gta4.

OC'ing the cpu will help, but even if its bottlenecking the gpu it'll be a pretty rare scenario where you get less than 60fps

Veteran member to the rescue. How do I tell if a game is going to be CPU intensive? I couldn't sound like more of a n00b right now. Apologies.

No worries, its hard to answer that, either you'll just pick it up with time what stuff is more cpu intensive and what isnt or from trying it and seeing, but with time you'll kind of just get a knack for knowing what to expect from different stuff.

But for the time being here and google will answer that.

Do you know if it'll run the games it'll come with (FARCRY 3, SLEEPING DOGS & HITMAN)? I mean, the fact that it comes with them should mean it will, haha. Otherwise they're pointless! I know some builds come with games that the graphic card supports.

This thread may seem outdated but I thought I'd update saying I got the system and I had nothing but issues with it. Not only with games but even with Windows 8 (surprise surprise). It was crazy laggy at times in games too and completely froze my system (I even smelt burning at one point...)

So now I have to wait for it to be picked back up and returned on a "priority" basis to the builders so they can "repair" it.

Sad times. Happy Holidays though everybody.
