A 2700k clocked at 4.8ghz is an upgrade on your 920 at 4ghz

You're not that far from me either, so you could even try it yourself to see if it's an upgrade.

And the board and cpu I'm selling would be cheaper than a 2011 cpu (if we're talking 3930k)

It's £120. Board was great, and looked sexy too.

Board and cpu are only a couple of months old, and have scan invoice as proof of purchase.

Anyone looking to "upgrade" might as well take the lot from me and I'll throw some 1866 vengeance ram in.

You will have a good rig that eats anything

I am very tempted as im on the verge of pulling the trigger on a whole new rig- my first non budget one, i was just very very tempted to build a monster itx system, an idea ive always had my heart set on and something that could be amazing if done right.

After seeing some of them here, I havent really been wowed by anything in a bigger form factor-

I am so tempted mate. I really did have my heart set on a 3930K system.

But this is just too tempting.

Be honest with me, baring in mind I have a 920 that is bottlenecking my 7970s would the 2700k and that board lift that bottleneck.

I really haven't looked into anything other than a 3930k.

Put it this way a 2700k at 4.8ghz will not bottleneck anything.

I've owned a 2500k (sold on this forum) a 2700k a 3930k and noticed no difference in games.

I've also noticed no difference going from 580s to dual 7970s, and the 680 offered nothing over either.

As I said it wouldn't take long to set up the motherboard and cpu up, I'd me more than happy to bring board and cpu to you and you hook up your graphic cards and try yourself to compare.

The 4.8ghz overclock profile is still saved in the bios too.

My head is spinning and i've just got up from a night shift.

Would that board fit my two 7970s and an Asus essense STX sound card (PCI-E)? I've got a cosmos 1000 case.

Yes that board will fit all that no problem, it's an E-ATX motherboard and has plenty of spaces in between slots.

ROG boards are a gamers wet dream If you did go for x79 pick up the rampage

Just checked and ebuyer have them in stock at 200 quid http://www.ebuyer.com/261056-asus-ma...edium=products £120 is a bargain with warranty for a less than 2 month old board.

Oh and anyone who bought from me will vouch for my ocd oldcell bought a corsair case from me, trouve bought an evga gpu etc

Oh and one last thing the board will take an ivybridge cpu (not much of a selling point as ivybridge is gash )

OCD is nice I have it too

It's an E-ATX board does that mean it will fit in my cosmos 1000 case? my current board is an ATX and it goes right up to my PSU at the bottom of the case.

I'm not familair with the dimensions

According to here it takes an e-atx board (listed under specifications)

COSMOS 1000 - Cooler Master

So I'd say yeah, but obviously as we would deal in person you'd be able to test everything before paying

You crack me up, you said that when you bought the 7970.

I was looking at this board Gigabyte Z77-G1-Sniper 3 Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard [GA-Z77-G1-Sniper 3]

I like Creative Sound Core3D. It worked very well when I had the Creative Recon 3D but it had a few firmware bugs at the time when I used it as an external amp/decoder.

It's bewildering looking at the boards and reviews. I think I'm getting cockeyed and need glasses.
