I have tried twice to install this game, when it was first launched and tried this morning on STEAM. Both times, I am greeted with a bunch of login problems. First time the game didn't even get past the launcher. Now it lets me in, but the external Windows Games Live crap says my login is wrong, the game loads in, lets me login with the same details and then asks for a product code to activate the product.

I give up, this Game Live crap from Windows has always been a POS. I thought with the Steam release it would be a lot more straightforward, but it seems not. Too much effort for a F2P title.

All the content for this game will now be becoming free. If you play the game the premium DLC will unlock for you to use. You can however pay to unlock things early.

I've now completed this .

Sinzer, have you created a games for windows live account? As you need one of them too, to play the game.

It turned out that I need to accept some Terms and Conditions changes on XBox Live, of course the AOE login just kept putting me in some stupid loop, the MSN Exchange would let me log in. It wasn't until I did some random log in on the MSN site, did I get the warning up.

Played the game for an hour or two. It seems OK but nothing new, too busy with DOTA2 and Witcher 2 now and will likely play Diablo III over this.

yeah, it's not a patch on AoE3 for me personally. the cartoony graphics don't help it endear itself to me either.

I remember when I first bought AoE3, I was amazed at the graphics in comparison to AoE2, even on my then low spec pc that couldn't run it anywhere near maxed out.

after getting my new pc, and installing the game on that, I was still taken aback as to how good it looked maxed out, even though it's a dated game now. it was nice watching the water reflection as boats sailed through, as well as the explosions and bloom & smoke effects when cannon fire tore through buildings

when I first heard that there was going to be another, even though it wasn't really going to be a sequel as such, I was looking forward to it with a fair bit of anticipation. then I saw the first screenshot and thought to myself, is this it????
