OK folks. Finally got my PC back! Out of courtesy from PC Specialist, had 1010w modular PSU put in replacing the faulty 800w non-modular PSU. I'd just like to ask, I still have the power lead of the one given to be used with my 800w. I asked my Dad, he said a 5amp fused plus is ok to be used with a 1010w PSU. He said there is nothing to worry about he's tested them before. He said to be extra safe I could use a 13amp fused plug, but 5amp is fine. Is it OK? Apart from my plug arching this morning because the power cord was lose, I've tested everything and the system as run all day, apart from it rebooting during arching because it wasn't plugged in properly, I've checked device manager and everything runs fine, it's reported no errors, no problems shown and it says in device manager everything is working properly as should be. I've also kept an eye on it all day, it's been running for like 12 hours. Stand-by mode is OK. Is it safe to say I've avoided any damage? Anyway, back to parts added, I've also had 2 thumb screws put on Antec 1200 at the back so I can take side panel off easier. Also had Corsair 1600Mhz XMS3 replaced with Corsair Dominator 1600Mhz, even though it didn't need changing (as far as I know). I've heard this RAM has better latency, has a better memory chip, is made of better material and runs cooler, is this true? I've read that on a few sites and forums. Had 5 games given to me too (ones related to free ones given with video cards as far as I can tell). 4 on Disc, 1 via download.
Company of Heroes - XFX
Tomb Raider Anniversary
Hawx - XFX
Grid
Dirt 2 (Download on Steam) - ATI Radeon
Not bad eh?

They cannot replace the case because they don't sell it any more. Although when I checked the case today, it's not as bad as what I first remembered it.
Thank you PC Specialist.
Anyhow, whilst I've been away, Modern Warfare 2 has had a few more patches and surprise surprise, the screen remains the same. I honestly don't know how to fix this folks, SOMEONE plz help me.

!!!
Having the XP bar raised n moved inward on the screen is rather annoying. As far as I'm aware it's not the video card. I've updated it an everything...
I think it's best if I go check for more video updates?
I've defaulted the video settings AGAIN. Put Triple buffering back on and I've put the default no smoke edge smoothing on and auto aspect ration. Still no luck.
Any ideas? Sorry for rambling. I'm concerned about my PC after it wasn't plugged in properly (arching due to not being plugged in fully at kettle plug at back of PC PSU)
Thanks - really appreciate the help folks.
Merry Christmas.
