Think about getting the TrackIR 4 and you'll be able to move your head around and your view will change accordingly.

You won't know what's hit you!

Hmmm that does look cool but the flaw with that for me is that you still have to keep your eyes on the screen. Remember them stupid old virtual reality headsets? something like that with full lossless image would be much better where by the angle of display changes with your focal point, not sure if this is possible but would be great none the less.

Have you used 3d vision yet? nobody seems to like it here.

Not gonna try and sell you this but just to clear up the experience, what happens is that a relatively small movement of your head relates to a larger movement on your viewpoint. It's not hard to get used to and is ideal for sim type games - flight and driving mainly.

I havn't tried Nvidia's 3D vision but I do have a Z800 HMD which also has a head tracker in it so I get to turn my head 360 degrees and have my viewpoint change in Flight Sim X. That is really cool but it's only 800x600. Any higher resolution and the price starts becoming astronomical unfortunately.

Yeah thats more like it, christ i'd love a go on one of those. If i was serious about flight sims i dont think i'd hesitate, suppose 800x600 keeps the frame rate super high too. I know it is stereoscopic but does it do pop out effects with depth of field too, giving the true feeling that something is either right in front of your eyes or a mile away???

Also, yeah i get what you say about the head tracking, the movements are so subtle that you can move focus with it too.

Does the Nvidia 3D vision work with any game?

I must admit playing games in 3D sounds mind blowing to me & im very interested to explore this new tech. Any links would be appreciated (yes I know I can google it but im at work & have to keep my surfing time to a minimum).

It works with hundreds of games including pretty much every top title and new release. It's one of those things that really has to be seen to be believed. There is also a core following over on Nvidias forums who now have there own technical support team and loads of people sharing settings for things like increasing pop-out and depth etc etc.

I wont lie it does take a tiny bit of tweaking to get each of your games setup just how you wants it but you can store individual profiles in game with a keyboard shortcut. Heres a list of what i currently play:

Stalker Call of pipryat
NFS shift
Colin McRae dirt
Batman AA
COD 4 & MW2
Avatar demo
L4D 2
Race driver grid
World of Warcraft
Deadspace
Tomb Raider underworld

I can whole heartedly tell you that all of them are simply jaw dropping in 3d and it completely reinvents the games atmosphere, Avatar in particular will blow your mind.

this is the current list however there are loads of titles not mentioned so dont worry if what you play isnt listed... 3D Games

Any other questions dont hesitate to ask!
