It won't be long before the PC catches up with the 360 in terms of visuals though . I'm sure that with DX11 it will start to compete on a visual level.

On a serious note however, looking forward to rfactor 2 as the original (whilst a great racer) does look pretty rubbish by today's standards.

Know what u mean, depends on the track/mod but sometimes looks rather nice then other times looks like ****. Same with most pc sims.
rRactor 2 mayb the same tho, if previous mods compatable cant see it looking better.
Unless it's a proper full game to begin with. (when i got rfactor didn't understand much about mods and was shocked cos there was so little there). Now it's 18gb install.

To stay on topic here's another couple screens..

GT Legends Nurb...

Quantum of solace... (at times looks excellent)

Yeah can't wait for rFactor2 but for now rFactor is blessed with some of the best mods ever made and is still the king when it comes to sims by a mile.

Great idea Oggie and you should of named it get your screenshots out for the lads!

And Razor your slipping man, none of your infamous Warhead shots yet

My graphics feel so inferior, but, here's a couple from the Aion open beta.

And one of my character from Champions Online, which saves horribly low-res screenshots.

Great shots, Problem i have with rfactor is that u never know if a new mod u add will actually work well with your wheel settings, must have about 35 different car mods and mayb a handfull are actually anygood.
Without tweaking each and spending ages i mean.
PM with your profiler/in game settings would be appreciated.
Is that the '97 F1?

Yeah well i only use mods with properly designed physics and RealFeel properly implemented. I'm very picky with my mods mate, and don't just install anything. No it's not the 97 mod, it's the 91's ala Nigel Mansel era.

Doubt you will find it mind but LMK if you want a link and also check out the F1 Classics 67, i posted a link in the EVO thread, just awesome physics and probrably the best use of RealFeel ever.

That F1 mod looks superb Nismo, some great shots as well. I especially love the one with Patrese's Williams in the forground, brought back the memories of long gone teams like Footwork!

Would love to dabble with that mod! Was a huge fan of that era of F1, just love those huge back wheels!

F1 cars just aren't the same these days.

CAS FAN - Yes, it really is a fantastic mod and also try the 67 mod which i prefer to the 91's. If you need any help give me a shout and your welcome to jump on the server if you fancy some laps.

Not sure about your comment regarding the graphics mind, as it's still the best looking sim IMO. Mine is hugely modified mind.

Cheers Nismo. I must say, not got rFactor yet so have only been going off screenshots.

That said, those you have just posted look great so I take it back regarding the game's visuals. I guess like you say, the modifications will have continually improved things.

Does anyone know anywhere to get RFACTOR cheap? Seen it for download for £25 but does anyone know a cheaper option?

LMK when you get it and i will help you getting started with some mods and tweaks and then as said your welcome to join us for some races. Regarding picking up the game, Play.com did have it for 8 pound, but they don't seem to list it now. Give Amazon a butchers

Cheers, will do. Have tried those stores and sadly no go at the moment. Seems that the only place to get it at the moment is direct download. If it was say £15 i'd snap it up, but it's been out a while now so I begrudge paying £25 for it.

I'll keep a look out.

I have just bought a 360 today after seeing the Simracingtonight review of Forza 3. And refuse to play the game with the pad, so am gonna hold of playing until i have the 360 wheel. But have just played the demo now with the pad and while i can not comment on the physics ( how can i using a pad ) i have to say graphically it's extremely poor and looks nothing like that screenshot, minor jaggies is being nice mate, it's horrible. Maybe i'm being snobby after gaming on the PC sims for so long now but i'm extremely unimpressed. The Porsche looks ok i suppose but the Ferrari is almost comical

Keeping me fingers crossed that the physics save it and i have not wasted £200

Some very nice screens in this thread
IW should have done better with some of those MW2 textures really. That wall texture is very low quality.
