It's better than expected but despite having a Core i7/GTX 280 system I'm getting jerky performance when running across the centre court and when throwing the ball the length of the court. The odd thing is the framerate NEVER dips below 60 fps and the benchmark analyser rates my machine as High and showed an average of around 90 fps during testing (with v-sync off).
Also the game might support the 360 controller out of the box but it neglects to show the buttom mappings onscreen so you're forced to endure keyboard ones instead. Tut!
Graphics are very nice but running the game at 1920x1200 results in a stretched look vertically as it seems to be 16:9 aspect ratio reformatted to 16:10. NBA 2K9 did not have this issue, at least the demo didn't. Also the crowd look freakish with their blocky hands and heads... some heavy depth of field blurring would have been useful there.
Good game otherwise but it really needs a patch to address the issues.
