I have jus purchased an athlon 64 x2 6000 for my new motherboard but im not sure whether I should install vista64 or 32, i will be mostly using it for games but other stuff aswell such as movies and office software

if any1 could help me it would be most appreciated, thanks

Depends on how much RAM it has, if more than 3gb get Vista 64 so it'll all be recognised, 32bit will only recognise 3.5gb or so.
I had no issues with it at all so unless people say otherwise go for the 64bit if have 4gb or more ram.
If not and say you have 3gb then just go for the 32bit.
Only reasons i see/or know about for using it.

Go for 64bit and use all that memory mate. Never had any issues with using 64bit

Vista 32 actually recognises 4Gb of RAM. It is just that this is the total it can have including that in the graphics card.

For gaming forget about vista, you will get better performance from XP 32bit and tbh a AMD X2 6000 is going to need all the help it can get.

Running Vista64 for a while now no issues at all in games ..

I vote Windows7 64-bit

It's like Vista, only better. And I don't have any problems with Vista, in fact I quite liked it
