Novemeber 08 Winner - Flash

Something we often need to decide when making photographs is whether to use flash or ambient lighting. This photograph is a combination of both, as the shutter speed allowed some ambient light from the desk lamp to burn in.

Canon 30D, 28 mm, 1/10 sec, f/10, ISO100

PP in Lightroom: Reduced white balance temp, increased clarity and contrast.
PP in Photoshop: Dust removal, vignette at bottom of photograph to reduce reflections, unsharp mask.

That is a stunner Keith. Really perfectly exposed and composed. One question though - did the angle poise lamp come to life once you'd finished the shot and jump ontop of the flash unit??

Cracking entry - very well exposed, and like the way you've managed to make the two lights look 'alive' as it were.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

I did angle the lamp and flash to make sure they were "looking" directly at each other. I guess people's familiarity with the Pixar animation make them look more "alive".
