I took the shot this afternoon during a rare moment of my son, Jake, not running around! Whenever he does stop for a rest, our dog Daisy takes the opportunity to take a breather herself.

When Jake was first born Daisy got pretty jealous and has only really started to play with him over the last few months. Now she's realised that he's a pretty comfy cushion as well she'll be his friend for life!

Image taken with my nifty fifty. PP was basically sharpen, tone, add vignette and border with text.

About 2 seconds before I took the shot Daiy was asleep but when I got up to get the camera she got suspicious!

This is excellent. Agree with Liquid that it would be better if Daisy was also asleep but even so this is a top shot.

Very nicely done. The vignetting and letting the focus trail off to Jake's head has worked really well. Definitely added to the dreamy feel.

I like that the dog has her eyes open. The expression and pose adds to the 'rest' theme IMO. The combination of her and the sleeping child is excellent.

Lovely image! I know a few others have said they'd like it even better if Daisy was sleeping too, but I quite like her awake with that beautiful and somewhat sleepy look in her eyes. She looks very restful to me and, afterall, the category is rest not sleep

Great Pic! I love the way your eye can fall from Jake to Daisy then back up so easily. Dont mind that Daisy is awake, her head is definately resting on Jakes leg.
