October 2005 Winner - Colours

Took this shot today, a really simple idea that hopefully has worked out.

Went to WHSmith and bought a set of coloured pencils, placed them on a white piece of A4 paper and took a few shots all from different angles trying to see which would give the most 'striking' picture.

It has been sharpened up a touch and a slight adjustment on the brightness and contrast to give it a bit more 'feel' Also, a bit of cloning work on PS as the tips of the yellow and red pencils were damaged.

Added text and a border.

Comments welcome

I like your lateral thinking! (Why didn't I think of that!)

Tend to agree - can we see it pre-cloning.. might have a nice character damaged or not.

Also feel it's slightly over-sharpened...

Favorite picture so far as I had the same idea as soon as I heard the theme was Colours although I never got round to it, and I would have arranged the tips in a circle
But hey enough about what I would have done
Superb Steve
