Museum of Welsh Heritage (nr Cardiff)

Also known as St Fagan's Museum, this place provides a lifetime of photographic opportunity. Too bad I have the Welsh weather and a full time job to contend with. This shot was taken near the castle in the grounds above the stepped ponds. Tech details as follows:

Nikon D200 with 18-200mm VR lens@95mm
1/20th second / F16
Tripod mounted with VR turned off and ISO fixed at 100
Post processing in Capture NX (increased saturation and some warming)

Fantastic colours on your photo however it does not shout out 'Soft' to me .

Ah, I could have added that blur beginning with 'G', etc, but just felt it was cheating! I've left it to the foliage and the shapes to provide 'soft'. If it doesn't work, at least I've kept my integrity intact!

I think the pillow-like bushes are a good soft-like suggestion. Bushes are normally spikey sorts of things, so portraying them as soft lumps is a novel approach. Well done!

Re: Museum of Welsh Heritage (nr Cardiff)

Much obliged, gents! Having not posted an entry in the competition before, it's caught me by surprise how strange it feels when people don't seem to 'see' what you've seen. I didn't set out to take this photo with the comp in mind, but the light, colour, shapes and overall composition seemed to fit, even if the physical material is not something you'd immediately associate with 'soft'.

I haven't been to St. Fagans for years. A well composed shot and I love the colour of the sky

Cheers. You should really get over there again! It's free these days (though parking is a bit steep).
