The May Queen

Not feeling too bad about entering this competition early as my camera's likely to be out of action for the rest of the month - it's in for repair.

This will hopefully be the last time I mention Beltane and associated wierdness on this forum, but I couldn't let it go without getting a critique of one of the shots.

I'm not sure it 100% fits - she looks very stern, but hey, I can't shoot anything else :P So it's going to have to do. Symbolicly it's on the right lines, the passing of the hard, frigid winter into the soft warming light of summer. I hope the shot pulls it off a little.

Re: The May Queen

Very attractive lady

I wouldnt have really understood the relation to the theme unless Id read your comments and even then its boarderline IMO.

As an image goes, I'm a fan of creative work and I think its certainly a very arty piece with a strong underlying message(and a bit wierd as you say). The bit to the right thats blown, is a bit distracting but Thats picky perhaps.

Hope your camera gets fixed without to much expense.

Re: The May Queen

This is a lovely, arty, shot but it doesn't say "soft" to me though.
