Over the edge(2hrs Later)

When Tobers Picked this theme I was clueless for Ideas. My initial thoughts, much like Tobers were Dark.

I thought I would try and encapsulate "mentally over the edge" and "Physically over the edge" In one image.

I have loads of its not valids which I will post in due time.

Hope you like it.

EXIF:

Nikon D80

At 62mm

F/20
1/50s
Iso 400

Exif should be intact.

Clickable to larger on flickr

Re: Over the edge(2hrs Later)

Definitely on theme - I don't know if I like it or not! But I keep coming back to look at it.

How did you get the photo of the feet over the wall? It looks like you must have been lying 'on the edge' yourself to get that shot.

I'd wager it's just his shoes on the ledge

Re: Over the edge(2hrs Later)

Sorry if you ladies find it disturbing Unfortunately This subject is never tasteful.
It is me in the shot..although it has been heavily tone mapped..I dont really look that dirty.

Tracy I was in a pretty hairy position taking the shot, but not so much so that \I compromised my saftey

Thanks for the comments ladies

Re: Over the edge(2hrs Later)

Good one - somewhat spooky and wierd which is great.

I'd have been tempted to just have the feet on the edge and leave out the screaming thing on the left though - would be more subtle and just as much impact - just my humble opinion.

Re: Over the edge(2hrs Later)

Yeah I tried that Initialy Tobers, but it lacked the story telling element. It just looked like a pair of shoes on a wall.

I wanted to convey, what was being contemplated and why?

Opinion is always valued, thanks for taking the time to comment.

Re: Over the edge(2hrs Later)

Any more comment needed??

It is very well executed : From thought ( concept) to imaging and post processing

It is ( to be sure) a bit of a dark subject and hard to do well without the "urghh!!" factor

Do I like it??: Artistically.. Yes , I admire the industry and creativity involved
Would I hang it on a wall??: Hell.... NO

As Usual, Well done
