A Hyena's Dinner

Taken in Tanzania while climbing Mount Meru. Apparently the buffalo died of natural causes and was then stripped by hyenas.

Sony A200, 18-70mm kit lens 1/400 shutter speed.

Re: A Hyena's Dinner

Certainly on topic - if a bit gruesome

I think this shot has the possibility to be a great image but for me at the moment the mono image is pretty "flat" and could do with more contrasty processing approach.

Re: A Hyena's Dinner

Thanks for the comments. I am new to PP so I can understand why I fall short there.

Re: A Hyena's Dinner

I think the colour version may have been the safer bet, but even so without the Hyena there, tucking in I am not sure it is right on the theme.

Received the original image and unfortunately it was taken 29th Oct and as such doesn't qualify for entry!
