Re: New styling

Interesting. Really like the face, well lit and in focus with detail. However (unless it's my monitor), the forks seem a little blown out and lost, you can hardly see some of them, particularly between 10 and 12.

Re: New styling

Nice shot Martin - I looked at this one for a long time trying to figure out why I liked it (other than the technical aspects) - if you know what I mean..... and then I realised it was the tines of the forks adding to the "spikiness" of the woman's hair that complemented each other and made it work for me.

Also like the subtle use of colour with the forks - and the sharpness of the eyes and hair is amazing

Re: New styling

agreed, spikey hair and spikey forks, nice composition but iandrews is right the 10-12 forks seem blown out. Good idea though. I'm finding it very hard to come up with a forking good idea

Ideas aren't usually the problem - turning them into a halfway decent/interesting shot is (for me)

Re: New styling

^^ Thx for copmments..

The blown out forks are white ones - I wanted the coloured ones to stand out more - I pushed the brightness up in PP (maybe a little over the top) but I think in more ways than one it looks ok.

Theme plastic forks is a difficult one, I tried something a little different... My guess is you could do a million and one things with this photo and every one would look different..

My first reaction was that it was a little over exposed, but I can see how it helps the image now.

It helps to lose the shadows from the forks on the background etc and gives it a very different feel, I like it.

I agree - although they are all starting (IMO) to take on a "sameness" despite the original use of "Plastic Forks" - and one thing I find interesting (odd? ) is that nobody (except me in my withdrawn first attempt ) seems to have tried disassociating the two words - i.e "Plastic" + "Fork"......

Re: New styling

Very interesting shot, and I think you've done well.
I think it could do with some more plastic forks to make it look like a hair style.
Also, being picky, some of the forks are not touching the head.
