A Play on Reflection

Just messing around

EDIT: just spotted rules need PP info with comp. post - Oops!

Original Picture was PP'd in Lightroom - just boosted Recovery + Blacks + Vibrance and Saturation to enhance the "Prism Effect" a little. Then cropped to remove extraneous background.

EDIT2: Just spotted that the pic link is also too big - dimensions and file size - c'est la vie

Nope - it was a deliberate choice to use the cracked side. I liked the "added Distortion" for some bizzare reason and the way it distracts from the the Cats.

Re: A Play on Reflection

This is a nice shot but I'm a bit put off by the crack. Would be great reflections otherwise.

Thanks - the thinking was kind of "broken glass" possibly making it a bit more theme-centric - guess it failed miserably.

Think I'll maybe re-shoot usinng the other side and post in the "It's Not valid" thread.

Re: A Play on Reflection

I kind of like the crack, it makes a statement about the image I think. Nice to see these interesting subjects, and the different approaches to creating the entries.

Re: A Play on Reflection

Following some of the feedback comments here I've reshot a similar composition without the cracked mirror for comparison - see link below to view :-

Re: A Play on Reflection

FWIW I prefer the cracked one for greater interest in the picture. The other is just a "stock" image, this one is a bit more "story".

Re: A Play on Reflection

Thanks for that - that was my original thinking but TBH I keep swapping between the two
