Old and New

Just by the Hotel in London we were staying in, they were building a new hotel which was opposite Waterloo Station were you can see the glass dome of the station and next to that there was some sort of old official building and in the background you can see a new apartment block.

So there's a mixture of Old and New

Re: Old and New

I like it. Nice contrast between the two buildings and I think the shadow adds a bit more to the effect

Re: Old and New

Good architectural shot. I would have liked to see less of the 'old' and a bit more of the station roof, but maybe this wasn't possible from your vantage point. I like the coloured sections and the vertical lines of the 'new'!

Re: Old and New

Nice shot, I like the 4 columns from the bright left hand side to the grey building on the right.

Re: Old and New

I agree with Butch - I think the most interesting bit of the photo is the new building. I would have been tempted to move to get this to fill the frame.

Re: Old and New

Kind of tossed and turned on this one, but in the end decided that after a few looks, it seems to work pretty well. Maybe a vertical widescreen shot would have tightened things up a bit, but all in all, I like this one.
