Lava through glass

exif should be included, can provide if not.

My picture is of a Lava Lamp. I think the reflections of the "lava", the light and glass make a really interesting image. Nothing other than a re-sizing done in PS, so is au natural!

Not as sharp as I'd hoped, but I'm still a newbie!

Comments welcome.

Re: Lava through glass

Not sure tbh, I think it's some kind of reflection from the window.

I was going to retake it, but I think coupled with the curve of the glass on the right hand side, it shows the "glass".

Re: Lava through glass

Interesting photo here, I like the colours. The small bubbles are in the glass, right? To be honest though, I think I would have pulled back a touch and then persisted, trying to get a crisper shot to enter with.

Re: Lava through glass

The bubbles are in the fluid, as I shook it first!

Re: Lava through glass

Nice idea, like the bubbles and colours. I suspect you are going to loose definition as you are shooting through the glass and "liquid", but it's maybe not as crisp / sharp as it should be.

Ian.

Ian.
I was in two minds as to whether the softness improves the image, or if it would've been better if it was sharper and more defined.

Re: Lava through glass

I like this one too. I think a sharper image would have worked even better though.

Re: Lava through glass

Sharper would have been better - otherwise a bit too fuzzy for me. Are you AF on the glass or did you try and MF onto the big blob in the middle?
