Iittal glass

My entry for this month is of a piece of iittala glassware, its a well known finnish brand and as my wife is from finland we have a few pieces around the house.

Not done much to the picture, just crushed the blacks a little in lightroom and changed the blue hue more towards purple.

Photo details etc

Sorry details added

I took a few shots of the full piece but they didn't seem to work as well, this one just seemed a little more interesting

Re: Iittal glass

Very nice! I like the lighting used against the neutral background and how the coloured highlights soften due to the limited DOF.

Re: Iittala glass

Apparantly I can't spell as it is iittala glassware with an 'a' on the end, if it is possible for someone to change the thread title to the correct spelling I would appreciate it.

Re: Iittal glass

Good effort, like the glass detail, and the purple colour.

Re: Iittal glass

This is lovely. Looks a bit like a light bulb to me. Great abstract image.

Re: Iittal glass

What I think is really goo about the subject is that the glass is dark, and with a matt finish, not your typical spangly stuff, which adds a lot of texture.
