Monster Reflection!

Even though Halloween is still over a month away I though I'd go for something a bit different with the potential to freak y'all out!
So...yeah...it's a spider hanging underneath a window.

Re: Monster Reflection!

A monster all right, it's amazing how alien looking these critters are. But I'm going to be brutal and say the white background doesn't do the pic any favours, and the glass and reflection is not featuring enough to be a contender this time, IMHO. I think I'd have been tempted to try and transfer the beast to a mirror and then try to get it to pose, somehow. Sorry... (I'll get my coat now....)

Re: Monster Reflection!

Butch - What if I were to say that it's me pet spider and that we is looking through a VERY clean glass tank at it? Does that count?!
Jago - yes, too wet for painting what with all this rain...
tracymae - thanks. If only it had been a glass spider though...

Re: Monster Reflection!

Hey Zombane - thanx for the nice feedback. Can I say though that without that glass there would be no reflection and without that reflection there would be no glass...

Re: Monster Reflection!

Ohh, scary little critter. Wouldn't want him crawling on me. But I have to agree with Butch. The white background and the minimum ammount of glass in the shot makes it off theme for me. Sorry.

Re: Monster Reflection!

Great spot, and well taken. Like the big body, detail on it's legs and the fact you can just about see "web" behind it. Like the reflection, but shame there wasn't more of it, or slightly clearer. So a good effect, but as others have said, doesn't really say glass to me.

Ian.
