Jabs

Hello to all the good folk in the Parents forum.

Our little 7 week bundle of joy will be having his first set of Jabs next Thursday and wondered from your experiences what we might expect both on the day and the 24-48 hours that follow?

I believe this first set is for Diphtheria, Polio and Hep-B and is repeated another two times in the very near future...

Thanks

My son struggled with the first ones, he cried for a couple of hours and really couldn't be consoled. Once he got through that he was fine.

We had no issues with any of the follow-on jabs apart from the brief moment of the actual jabs.

Good luck.

Ours were sometimes a bit cranky that night as if they were coming down with something, but were right as rain the following day.

My little one developed the sniffles the first few days after but they soon went. The second and third sets showed little or no side effects and she was fine.

It is however horrible when your holding them in 'the position' ready for the needle of doom! One minute smiley/passive look and then BOOM crying like a banshee!

Good luck fella, remember, get past the first three sets of jabs and then 6 months until the next! Phew!!!!

Ours didn't like the first lot and he felt abit ill on the night but it wasn't too bad. The second lots he didn't even notice! Second jabs were delivered very gently by a student doctor!
