Kids\Starter Electric Guitar

Hi,

My eldest lad is nearly 9 and is making good progress with his acoustic guitar - so much so, that I have said I'll get him an electric guitar in the next few months if he keeps up the good work, and I just wondered if anyone could suggest a half decent one for a boy of his age ?

I assume I'd be looking at a starter kit that includes an amp etc, but just wondered if there were any recommended ones ?

Cheers

hmmm, doesnt leave a great deal of scope, you definately want to avoid Argos etc. Dont be doing the encore ones. Take a look at this, i think this is not bad.

Washburn Electric Guitar Starter Pack - New - Blue on eBay (end time 31-Jul-09 23:36:14 BST)

or this if you dont mind second hand, slightly better guitar:

WESTFIELD LES PAUL GUITAR/FENDER AMP/CASE/ STARTER PACK on eBay (end time 13-Aug-09 18:11:19 BST)

If you go second hand you'll defo get more for your money, but thats up to you. Gumtree.com is good as well for finding second hand bargains, i use it many a time for guitars.
