Monkey Ball

My three-year old nephew likes visiting to play on my GameCube but finds my game collection difficult (various Star Wars-based games, Shrek 2, Terminator Redemption, etc). I'm looking for a game that would be suitable for him to play with, understandably, minimal violence.

What are the "Super Monkey Ball" games like? I have never played those but seen them on sale at Play.com. I notice there is a "Super Monkey Ball" and "Super Monkey Ball 2". Are both games very different to each other, or if I buy SMB2 then I don't need to buy the original as well?

Thanks.

Re: Monkey Ball

They are awsome puzzle games but not suitable for a 3yr old (zoo cube) SMB and SMB2 are both standalone games with SMB being the original and having slightly less add ons (the party games are good but you need to play to unlock them) SMB requires quite alot of skill and is great fun.

Re: Monkey Ball

Have you considered something like Mario Party? The full game might be too complicated for a three year old but I'm sure you could find a few of the mini games that would be good.
