Game cube AV cable with RGB scart

Can anyone recommend a good RGB scart cable for the 'cube that also has the two stereo output cables for connection to a receiver. I've seen some around so know it's possible, was just wondering if anyone has a particular recommended brand, or any other 'stay-aways'...

I've seen third party RGB cable with breakout connections for audio. However, I've never heard any first hand accounts of people recommending them.

So......what I've done is use the official Nintendo RGB Scart cable. You'll find plenty of people on this forum recommending that. It is top quality. As for connecting to my amp, I run phono cables from the audio out of my tv into my amp. If your tv has these connectors to output audio I'd recommend this solution. The surround effects in something like Rogue Squadron sound ace!

Hope this helps - I know it's not quite the answer you're looking for but it may be the option of a work around.

If you own more than one console, and your TV has no audio out, you can use the Argos multi-scart switch (you'll find loads of recommendations here). It has audio out for any device connected through it, has 3 scart input and RGB on/off

I can't post the exact link, because the Argos web (www.argos.co.uk) is not working properly today.

I hav an xbox already, running off the official RGB Scart and an optical cable.

Unfortunately no audio output on TV, it's a lot worse than my amp and speakers... only a little 21"...

Will look into the Scart box though, thanks...

No problems on the Argos web today. This is the one:

I got mine from Game. It's there own brand rgb cable with 2 phono plugs on it

My cube is now connected via the same scart splitte as you found in Atgos as well as being connected to my amp vis the phono plugs

I tried the GAME own brand RGB scart, but I was very disappointed, so returned it. There is a fine chicken wire effect over the whole screen that becomes very obvious against certain colours, yellows being the most obvious.

I've now switched to the official cable, run through the now infamous Argos box, and am very happy with the results! IMHO, this is the only solution that's reasonably priced.

Will look into the Argos Scart box though...

Best to steer clear of the Gamester brand as well. I had an RGB scart for my cube which looked fine on a 26" tv. However, when I upgraded to a 36" telly the picture looked really stinky - whites looked really overblown, reds showed horrible distortion around the edges.

You may find that a third party brand is ok on your 21". However, I guarantee that if you ever intend to upgrade your TV you'll end up upgrading the cables as well.....
