Gamecube Component Cable?

For along time I thought that you could only use the Gamecube Component Cable with a US console and only on games that support progressive scan.

After having just re-bought a UK Gamecube I am looking to a connect it to my Sony LCD and was wondering if RGB Scart was the best I could get or will a Component Cable be able to let me play games in 480i/576i as I want to get back into the Resident Evil games but not before I upgrade from the Composite cable

Re: Gamecube Component Cable?

I used to use the official component cable with my PAL Gamecube, sold most of my PAL games back then & re-bought NTSC(used Freeloader) to get 480p. Even the PAL games looked slightly better than they did with the official RGB scart cable which is what I used previous to upgrading to component though so IMO still worth going for component if you can find one at a decent price.

Re: Gamecube Component Cable?

Component cable was an official PAL product, so works fine.

Re: Gamecube Component Cable?

Guess I just have to find one for a decent price now, dont really want to pay £20+ seeing as the Gamecube only cost me £12 lol
