I just bought a VGA-2000 Hyperkin Converter box for my computer. Hooked it up, and the PC's feed came through fine. I got excited and bought a component cable for my gamecube. Everything is fine and dandy...
Until I hit the switch and it says
"Cannot display this video mode
Optimum Resolution: 1280 x 1024, 60hz"
I put the 60hz setting on my monitor down from 75hz refresh rate, and tried putting on the Optimum Resolution. Nothing. The box says it supports SXGA Resolution (1600x1200.) I have a 17in Dell LCD monitor that came with my desktop. The display settings screen says that I have two monitors, exactly the same, hooked up, and one is secondary. Their highest resolution is 1920x1440, but the thing is I only have one monitor. They have the 1600x1200 resolution setting, but every time I click it, I can't see the majority of my monitor unless I move my mouse to the edge of the screen, and then my viewpoint moves.
Any ideas? I'm stumped and I hate to waste $60 that I paid for the component cable and the converter box.
