Wanted : Who offers higher trade-in: GAME or Gamestation?

Just wondering if anyone knew, for:

a) 360 games
b) Gamecube games

Thanks (I'm not sure if this thread is in the right section - I couldn't think of where it should go)

I have read the trading rules and agree to abide by them at all times until the transaction is concluded to the satisfaction of all parties involved : Yes.

Please be advised, all buyers and sellers should satisfy themselves that the other party is genuine by providing the following via PM to each other after negotiations are complete and prior to dispatching goods and making payment:

1) Landline telephone number. Make a call to check out the area code and number are correct too!
2) Name and address including postcode
3) Valid e-mail address (no disposable addresses such as @gmail or @yahoo for example).

DO NOT proceed with a deal until you are completely satisfied with all details being correct. It's in your best interest to check out these details yourself.

Also we advise that the vendor post images of the items for sale. This helps your sale by showing the condition of the goods prior to dispatch.

Gamestation, they beat any trade price by a pound (well, they say they do, at the manager's discretion).

I think I ****** my store off...They only match it now rater than beating the price and you have to have a printed receipt from the store. This usually means getting a receipt for a completed trade. And a slightly less-local GS store refuses to match Supermarket prices or any companies which they deem to be occupying a different market niche ie stores which sell both DVDs and games..what's the point of a price match policy if it has loads of exceptions? In general GS is good for trade-ins though, especially on GC titles though it has got a bit worse sin Blockbuster took it over.

Hope this helps
Dan

Dude, they're utter horsecrappers. A moron company owned by Blockbuster that can't bother to honour their own deals, I was stopped from beating prices as I did it so much, if their trade-in prices were actually as good in the first place I wouldn't have to do it, but CEX are down the same road!

Blockbuster took over years ago dude (about five now).

Re: Wanted : Who offers higher trade-in: GAME or Gamestation?

Apparantly Woolworths are supposed to be taking trade-ins too, but i'm not sure how much for? Probably not as good as the 2 main players, but it might be worth a go!

I've always heard and understood Gamestation to be better than Game, but do you have to prove the prices Game offer to them before they improve it? Are you able to obtain any sort of proof from Game? I wonder if you asked for these prices in Game, told them you were going to GS, then ask if you come back can they beat what GS offer?! ........

I very much doubt it somehow! The prices we can offered are pathetic on trade-ins! Shame, as I hate keeping completed games (with the exception of a minority of classics) but hate the fact that i'm normally getting 80% less than what I initially paid for them!
