Just bought a US GC, a few questions

Whats the best AV cable to get for it? Will my UK GBA Player work on it?

And do i need to format my UK memory cards for use with it?

good good, yeah i can use component, ill have to find some kind of adater though so i dont have to swap that and my wii over.
