sorry friend, am new here. i thought component cables are 5 plugs as opposed to composite which are 3?

No composite is usually 1 (yellow) connector.

Component is indeed 3 connectors.

3 & 5 respectively if you include stereo sound as well, is this perhaps what you ment? With the Cube, still use the standard output cable for this.
