Help me....I'm nuts

Right as some of you know I buy and sell consoles more than most of you have hot dinners.

I recently sold all my consoles, built a gaming pc, bought mdoern warfare 2 and hated the keyboard, so thought I'd pick up a 360 with modern warfare.

So go to game, and my indecisiveness kicks in, which one should I get.......

I end up walking out with a super elite, and a 250gb ps3.

I just spent nearly a grand on two consoles, accessories and games.

I wish I could control my problem....

Re: Help me....I'm nuts

I've kind of dabbled being a Jay recently.

First I decided that my launch 360 and PS3 needed replacing so got rid of them both and got an Elite and a Slim.

Then realised that they were both a bit , so I built a gaming PC .

I guess being a Jay you kind of go through that on an average day though .

My advice is really to just keep hold of them all now and just buy the games you want to buy on the system you want to play them on. Go grab Ratchet and Clank and Uncharted 2 on the PS3, stick the 360 under the bed until they release another decent exclusive on it and play most stuff on the PC because cross platform stuff is better on the PC.

Job done!

Decided they needed replacing? Why were they rusty? out of date? lol

Still saying that ive bought and sold 2 ps3's and kept the 3rd. Im also on my 2nd xbox.

At the time i did sell my consoles to buy a gaming pc and recenly just upgraded my pc without having to sell consoles to fund it so i guess im making some progress!

I guess I was fearing them breaking as the 360 had already gone once and there were a lot of YLoD stories coming out about launch 60gb's. Also my 360 was white and had a small HDD so it didn't fit in with my nearly all black setup and I couldn't really install more than one game at a time.

Oh Jay

Well you've done it now so no time for regrets but, as the esteemed posters have said, for God's sake just hang on to them now.

I can understand why you've done it, you like the 360 for the online community on here and I know you want to play the new Uncharted and Ratchet so try to keep in mind there's things you like about all the platforms and none of them are perfect, yes Razor, not even the PC but it's seriously time to stop buying and selling. If you find yourself getting disenchanted with any of them just put them away somewhere and try to forget about them until the next time you have the urge.

I do have failsafe suggestion on how to stop you, get your Girlfriend knocked up and then you'll have neither the time or money to indulge yourself

Oh and when's Mario Galaxy 2 out?

I went into the High Street store and was about to do the same. Then I remembered I have to pay my bills and my girlfriend would castrate me

I kicked the habit now, by buying Ikea furniture, I have no money left, my girlfriend is happy and I am kept out of trouble by having to build it!!!

Re: Help me....I'm nuts

I've just thought, I'm the same, I've just been in denial for so many years

I've had 3 PS2's, an Xbox, 3 PS3's, 2 Wii's, 2 360's. Only one I've still got is the Xbox, and it's a Media Center so I don't class it as a console

oh and I dabbled with a PSP for about a week, then got bored of GTA:LCS and sold it

It's been 6 months since I owned a console though, my trusty PC has been enough recently. I'm getting the urge though, I'm worried I'll nip into Sainsburys and pick up a 360 at any minute...

Wouldn't go near an iPhone if someone paid me though. I likes my Symbian too much

I love the iphone, probably my 2nd fave gadget behind Sky +HD.

I watch sky on it, play games on it, navigate with it, view photos on it, organise my life with it, play music on it and even phone and text people with it from time to time . Some of the apps on it are just fantastic.

Re: Help me....I'm nuts

I have a Sony Xperia X1 and whilst I like it I want something new. I am mainly looking at the iphone for the apps that you can get on it. The X1 is a windows mobile phone but is limited on things like games but seems to have everything else. Also everyone seems to be raving about the iphone.

Choices, choices.....

For apps etc the iphone can't be beaten, no one willcatch up with the itunes store.

If you''re after a multimedia device first phone second it's great.

For a phone I love my blackberry.

Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just plug a 360 controller into the PC?

Have to agree. The iPhone is a great gadget but not great at being a 'phone'

If you like the Blackberry you should try an E-Series Nokia ;-)

Not sure really. Only thing I can think of is that some don't like the touch pad and prefer a physical keypad. Personally I quite like it but it's each to their own I guess.

like cas, i'm a bit puzzled by that statement, I'm addicted to mine!

The only thing I can think is that the reception isn't that great. My old N95 seemed to get a signal easier, my only real disappointment with the phone.

Re: Help me....I'm nuts

For me it was the same issue as every touch screen phone i've used. Just not as good as physical buttons and you also have to use two hands to txt/email etc..

I just prefer to hold a phone in one hand.

If you could use the numeric pad with T9 for sms/email it would help.

Maybe i should've given it longer but just didn't suit me; Everyone i know who has one loves their's though so it may suit you but I'm sticking with my brilliant E71 for now...

that's where my N97 shines, best of both worlds

qwerty keyboard and onscreen touch T9 standard keypad

I've done the whole swapping, selling **** with phones too; always come back to Nokia. Samsung, SE, etc, can't cut it. Had an E90 before the N97 and this is basically just a sexed up version of that

I've done the whole swapping, selling **** with phones too; always come back to Nokia. Samsung, SE, etc, can't cut it. Had an E90 before the N97 and this is basically just a sexed up version of that
Last Nokia I had was the N95. It was a pretty good phone, but I much prefer the iphone.

I did look at the N97 as I really liked the look of it. I was put off by comments saying that it was underpowered to carry out some of it's tasks however. I really like the design of the N97 though and a physical keyboard is a good thing to have. That said, i've adapted to the iphone's touch screen really well now.

Had an N97 on Trial from Nokia for a few weeks just before it came out....Was really disappointed with it.

The OS was fine but found the Hardware well underspec....

E71 I'm currently using is the fastest S60 phone I've ever used; On a par with the N95 8Gb as one of Nokia's best N-Series i think.

I was going to pm you today as I have been looking at the HD2 and saw you posting in a few threads. Its a toss up between the iphone and HD2 for my next phone.

I also have the N95 tucked away in a draw some where. It was a truly awful phone. It was a jack of all trades and master of none. It was also painfully slow to use. It put me off nokia smart phones. I stopped using it after 6 months.

Back in the day the N95 wasn't too bad, but it was slow and I was glad to get rid and upgrade to the iphone.

The HTC Hero looks a nice phone though, quite tempted by that. People are getting them free on TMobile on 18 month contracts at around £25 per month with 800 mins & unlimited text & internet (was just reading a thread on HUKD). Works out around £450 in total.

Jay's not going to be happy with how this thread has gone, you know how much he hates off-topic chat
