So when will the establishment move on and leave us alone?

Not that long ago I was in town with my girlfriend, my sister and her boyfriend. Needless to say the girls went to clothes shops so we strolled to Game.
We were looking at the PS3 games and in amongst them was Hostel on BluRay (The one with the drill going in to the guys mouth on the cover). He looked at it and said to me out of pure disgust....

"How on earth can anyone make a game like that?"

I then pointed out to him that it was just a movie mixed up with the games and he went "Ah" and nothing more was to be said of it.

So, we had Rock N'Roll music, spawned by the devil himself many parents believed in the 50s-60s. Then movies took some flak for corrupting the young in the 70s-80s and now it's video games "causing" violence.

What did you think it will take for focus to be shifted to something else?

I do have one point to make. As far back as history goes mankind has been at war all over the world killing billions of people over time. History is full of murderers, rapists, thieves, muggers, etc. Hitler didn't have a games console you know.

He probably had the board game Risk. One thing lead to another, and before you know it he's trying to move real tanks into Poland!

I think celebrity magazines and stupid celebrity "fact" programs do more harm

How come suddenly everyone on TV is a celebrity "expert"?

I would rather have my kids playing computer games and becoming dextrous raging violence machines than knowing what Brangolina or Victoria Beckhams favourite colour of bathknobs are.

LOL

Having spent many years working in a cinema I can tell you that the bad kids (The ones who really cause trouble) just sit around outside drinking buckfizz or whatever it's called, shouting abuse at people and throwing things, etc. They're out there for hours on end not at home playing games getting inspiration for thinking of new ways to be a nuisance
