MatCatz S-Video/Audio cable problem with GameCube

MatCatz S-Video/Audio cable problem with GameCube

I bought the S-Video/Audio cable (manufactured by MadCatz) for the GameCube, so I can view my games through the superior S-Video connection rather than the standard composite. However, when I connect it all up (S-Video and Audio RCA connections), I just get ound and no picture. There's nothing wrong with the S-Video connection on my TV because I can still play my DVD player through there.

Any ideas why this is so, before I return it to the shop as a faulty item? Is there a setting needed on the GameCube unit itself to enable S-Video output?

If it is a pal cube there is no s-video output on the machine only the us/jap machines output s-video

If that's the case, then I don't know why Game were selling it. I'll send it back to the shop and get my money back. Thanks for the tip.
