Nexon Europe celebrate the launch of its
Knights of Cygnus update today, offering MapleStory players a totally new experience for the game. The patch adds an entirely new set of classes called the “Knights of Cygnus” and brings a whole new storyline and far more upgraded level of excitement and fun to Maple World. This epic online MMORPG has more than 92 million players worldwide, and is still totally free to play and free to download.
The Knights of Cygnus characters are available for all players at every level and once enlisted as a knight, players start over at level one and need to complete their training and a few exciting adventures to reach level 10 to select from a set of five new jobs: Soul Master, Wind Breaker, Flame Wizard, Night Walker or Striker.
The Knights of Cygnus were recruited by Goddess Cygnus to defend Maple World from the evil Black Wizard, and are called to the game’s new map “Erev” for their training and missions to keep Maple World peaceful. Following their own story line within the game, Knights of Cygnus characters can advance up to 120 levels and make use of various exclusive new features such as new sets of skills depending on the character class.

“The introduction of “Knights of Cygnus” marks a huge and important milestone for MapleStory Europe and its two year success story” says Sung Jin Kim, Director at NEXON Europe. “We are excited and overwhelmed by the huge and continuous response and support of our players, and wanted to play to their great support which is why we were eager to bring this update to Europe as soon as possible. Knights of Cygnus is a refreshingly new and exclusive content, and with today’s patch, we are one of the first ones to add this entire new chapter to a MapleStory service worldwide. Our players in Europe can look forward to enjoying their MapleStory life in a whole new dimension in conjunction with the classic and traditional features and elements that drove MapleStory to such a phenomenal success.”

Today’s update further includes numerous events celebrating the launch of “Knights of Cygnus” and the opening of the new world (server) “Demethos” at the same time. New striking items are also available from the in-game cash shop.
