Anyone know why microsoft removed hd support on pal xbox?

Think it is a big shame because people know that there not seeing what was probably not what the devs intended. I've heard of softmodding of course, but I find I should leave it alone.why the he'll did they remove it.

Was it ever enabled for pal consoles? I thought it was just ntsc only. Even so it is strange.

Yes it Was once able to display 720p and 1080i. But not all games used it. One of them are star wars Jedi academy.

The best way now to play your old original xbox games is to play them on the 360. Which is best seeing as it has a good upscaler.
