Onkyo 507 PS3 1080P Video Distortion

I just setup my new Onkyo 507 receiver today and everything is working great. The only issue is with my PS3. When I make the video 1080p through my PS3 I get these weird little blue lines going through the screen. Pretty annoying...it's fine on 720p and even 1080i. It's just on 1080p. Is there any known way(s) to fix this? I would like to point out that I'm running my PC through the receiver right now at 1080p and having no issues. I'm kinda stumped! Help please!

Well I searched all over my settings and I wasn't able to find anything about noise reduction. I also search the PS3. The big thing that is confusing is that it's ONLY when it is set to 1080p through the PS3. 1080p through my PC works fine. 1080i works fine on the ps3 as well as 720p. It's just on 1080p that I'm getting the little blue lines.

How about turning off all the enhancement thingy's tv's have a lot of? Try lowering the contrast level as well.

It's not the TV. It works fine when hooked directly to the TV. The problem begins when it is ran through the Onkyo 507.

It'll be one of your HDMI leads that can't handle 1080P.
The giveaway is that it works at lower data rates (resolutions).


Have you tried both in the stand alone situation ?
If both look OK maybe the driver circuit in the Onkyo is slightly weaker and it shows up the lower quality cable.

Mine drives a £15 12M HDMI perfectly
