Problems connecting XBOX 360 with Video Component in a 607 model
Hello,
I'm having some trouble connecting my xbox 360 to my onkyo 607 receiver, i do get sound, but i cant get any image
i've seen that some people already had similar problems with older receivers.... I'd like to know if someone managed to solve it
Please don't tell me to use the HDMI cable, since my XBOX is the older model with no hdmi
Thx in advance

just managed to fix it:
The XBOX was set on 1080p, so i reduced to 720p and everything went fine.

Just noticed this post and i had a similar problem with my Xbox. I did eventually get it to work with the settings on the Xbox at full 1080i using component, BUT.. the picture displyed on the screen wasn't as good as it was when I had it connected to the component on my TV, the text was blurred and the picture overall was darker.
What does the picture quality look like on yours with the settings at 720p, is it as good as at 1080?

Re: Problems connecting XBOX 360 with Video Component in a 607 model
Unfortunatley the upscaling / Video Processing via Component conx's on the 606 & 607 models are not the best...
Unless you're using HDMI I would advise against using Componant through the Onk 607 and instead go straight to our TV if it supports it and use a Toslink (Optical) cable assigned to the Game Input instead.... it's probably one of the very few flaws of the mid-range Onk amps.....

I have a Onkyo 507 and I connected the Xbox direct to the TV via component and used and optical lead to the amp for sound.
