I take it you're being ironic.
Depends where you want part with £3498 for an 11" tv. It spite of its technical advantages it is only a 960x540 screen that is little more than 7" in picture height. Even SD has to be downscaled to fit. At the moment there seems to be some doubts about the effective life span of these screens. Lets face it nobody in their right mind is going to rush out and buy one!

I am ironic maybe
You seem to know more than I
For a tv this size it has to be great
With hdmi connection, contrast etc
Peaple are buying these not yourself
The lifespan is 10yrs based on 2hrs use a day
There's a new oled from sony being previewed in January

Sorry- but I still think £3.5K is a lot of money for a set this size. I look forward to your review. What is the point of an HDMI connection when the picture is not actually HD ? (update: actually Amazon have reduced the price to £2999.99)

Of course some people will pay over the odds for a bit of new technology. A rather pointless quest as something else is usually around the corner. Wait a while, and if the technology is a bankable product then prices will eventually come down. The first Plasma screen I saw was a 40" Philips at £12,000! and it was not even HD ready at that time.

It seems that the bigger screen set may be either 21" or 26" with a prospective price upwards of £5000!. Apparently Sony have held back on its release because of poor sales of the 11" model. I guess they may be forced into the front line if other manufacturers start to release similar or bigger sized OLEDS. A proper HD set would be well worth looking at I'm sure.

You can find it for much less than £2000, the store I work at got a second hand one in and sold it for £1000. It's nice enough to look at, but the speakers aren't very good and, yeah, it's really, really small.

A Bargain there
I wish I'd known
Yes the small speakers are not the best but a headphone connection is onboard to use

If you're still after this - the UK price is absolutely outrageous as the Japanese price was JPY250,000 and the US price was $2,500 so it's actually cheaper to fly business class to NY to buy it.
