Hammered OLED

I wish my first LCD TV had been able to withstand the kind of treatment shown to the OLED screen in the link (the internal screen layers shattered with one small impact on my TV). I know this is only a mobile phone sized screen, but the same technology applies.

Please hammer, don't hurt Samsung's flexible OLED prototype (video)

Re: Hammered OLED

Look's very durable but you have to ask the question why they cut away and switch to a different hammer. They hit both screens with the black hammer and the traditional LCD shatters, the OLED appears unaffected BUT and its a big but, you never see any of these screens turned on, the video then cut's away to show you what appears to be the same OLED screen this time turned on being hit with a different hammer and with much less force. The bending is impressive but somehow, I think they are stretching the truth a little here with regards to the impact resistance
