Just a theory (for fun)

I have just looked at the pictures of OLED tv's and what i have gathered is that there ultra thin and brilliant picture. now my theory is that ever since i was young the companies fought in order to make the smaller tv's with better sound picture and slimness. but if the OLED is what i believe the best that can happen will there ever be anouther tv that beats this. i believe that the only thing to come after this would be virtual tv. what do you believe the future of televisions are? (dont take this seriously its just for fun)

Re: Just a theory (for fun)

There will always be something - fuller colour gamut, lower reflections so you get better dynamic range in a briggt room etc.
Oh, and £5 for a 60" 2160P TV

Re: Just a theory (for fun)

To add to what Kubb mentioned, how about the Esper from Blade Runner? I think that was a CRT but it could somehow alter space/time. It would be a hell of a challenge to get one of those in production in time for when the film was set - 2019. (It was released in 1982..)

Apparently IBM are working on one though.

Yeah when the image can't improve much anymore, they will go for something more "experience". 3D or something, or panorama

4D TV has existed since the late 1990s; it isn't what you might think though.

4DTV - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It's a north American system originally developed by GI using C-band satellite and came before our DVB.

Panasonic, Samsung, Sony & Philips don't seem to think so. They've all been showcasing their upcoming 3D screens at this years IFA show.
