Hi Stuart,
A poll revealing how much spent this year may bare an entirely different answer

Agreed, though mine has been on sevenoaks interest free amongst other things and bonus months etc.

Bought so far in 2006:

Monitor Audio RS1 in July
(Paid for by sale of 5.0 set of Acoustic Energy Evo's)
Monitor Audio RS6 in September
(Sevenoaks credit scheme)
Monitor Audio RS LCR in September
(Sevenoaks credit scheme)
Arcam AVR250 in October
(Sevenoaks credit scheme)
Samsung LE32R73BD 32"LCD in November
(Paid for with money intended to clear off a chunk of sevenoaks balance,
but my Loewe bit the dust)
Mark Grant Comonent Cable November

Still have Gears Of War, Xbox 360 Wireless Adaptor, Xbox Live subscription and another component cable on my immediately-wanted list and can't get.

Very tough time til end of Jan payday methinks

Dan.

Well including the spend that will go on family then it becomes very scary indeed (probably close to £1k )

Nothing, unless I change my mind on Nintendo Wii. Wanted a Toshiba HD-XE1, but does not look like there will be any until the new year. Perhaps you should do the poll after xmas

Re: How much are you going spend on consumer electronics this xmas?

Getting a Panasonic DRMEX75 dvd recorder. I know one can get it slightly cheaper on the web but I know someone in the retail trade so i'm getting it from a high street retailer for £315 and I don't even need to go into the shop to buy it, he even brings it home to me. The cheapest you can get it for, at the momement, is £295 but via the web as I have already stated. If anything goes wrong with it (if they are still selling them) he replaces it for me rather than sending it back for warrenty repairs, therefore as far as i'm concerned it's worth the small premium over the ultra cheapest price for the convenience factor and a replacement unit option if things go wrong.

Re: How much are you going spend on consumer electronics this xmas?

Do gaming consoles come under consumer electronics?..If they do then I will probably spend $50 on a Docking Station for my Zune and $70-80 on a Vaja Case for it..
