30Gb of music on tap in the car, up to 300 albums, all controllable from the head unit, can't remember the last time I looked at the iPod screen or used the click wheel. It is the coolest HD on the market though.

I believe you can use them with headphones too.

Seriously though, it did take me about 5 months (on and off) to encode my entire CD collection. And I had to buy a new PC and some serious storage space to back it all up.

A project not for the faint hearted.

Tend to stick to the IHP seris by Iriver, just a little bit more freedom of choice.

My rugrat has an Ipod tho, it's a fashion thing for when he is out and about. In the house he uses a H320

It's a fact that anything other than an iPod, is not an iPod.

Creative, Rio et all - they can sing and dance all they want - WOW, we can play WMA files! But the truth is they're all poo, the user interface is poo, their design is poo and you look like a poo when you get it out at the train station and start fiddling with it.

Lol - not biased?

Well I agree the iPod has the best user interface, it can't touch my ZVM in terms of video playback as well as battery life - no difference in sound quality either!

60gb iPod here.

I have an iPod connector in the car, so makes it very easy to use.

I do not buy much music from the iTunes store as I prefer to buy the CD for better sound quality and rip to iTunes.

Just wish everyone would agree on one format so that I can play my music from my PC through the XBox360 or Airport Express, in anything apart from MP3 format, which is not as good as the other formats IMO, even the LAME encoder.

I have a 30GB Video iPod.

It's great I have my entire album collection on it (over 100 albums), a few podcasts (inclueding this one :D) and a few video clips.

I do use iTunes as I find it easy to load albums and download podcasts to my iPod using iTunes. Although I don't buy music or content from iTunes as I like to own the disc's :D

I've converted all my CDs (200+) to MP3 (192 kbps) using CDex, which I've libraried onto several DVD-RW.
I copy over from them to the Sandisk and SD cards via the unit's USB link.

I've got a Creative Labs MuVo TX SE - 1GB. Its not flashy but its really easy to use and sounds great. I also use it as a flash drive, which comes in handy.
I rip my cd's into wma (VBR/50-95 kbps) with wmp and they sound EXACTLY the same as the original cd! Only problem is its a bit slow transfering songs, despite the fact its meant to support Usb 2.
