Word > XML

Hiya,

We need to save Word files as XML to submit to an Invoice Authority. They only accept XML 2.1 documents and ours fail saying they are not compliant.

Does anybody know what spec XML documents Word (2003/7) create, and if not 2.1 are there any converters available.

Thanks

You could try the free OpenOffice to open Word then export to XML from there. I believe the XML standard used by the Sun developed suite is compliant with the open source requirements, whereas word is a complete bag of nuts.

Thanks, but there's no export to XML option in Open Office.

Any other ideas?
