Did you get the phone with a contract? If so they do it free of charge, just email them.

Re: Nokia N73 - Discussion Thread

Hello,

I have a N73 and I am going to try and use it as a sat nav using a bluetooth GPS receiver. Been searching the web and do not want to spend too much. Was wondering what people thought of Bluenext products.

http://www.bluenext.co.uk/bluetooth-gps/index.php

Was thinking of either;

http://www.bluenext.co.uk/bluetooth-...tooth-gps.html
or
http://www.bluenext.co.uk/bluetooth-...tooth-gps.html

These can be had for around £30.

Your thoughts would be most welcome on the above products and any software that people have used.

Thanks

Martin

Re: Nokia N73 - Discussion Thread

I went for one of these which worked flawlessly with TomTom6 on a Nokia N73.

It is brandless as far as I can tell. I also tried one of these which was also good. Both weren't branded but had good battery life and worked out of the box!

My N73 Music Edition comes tommorrow!

After looking through loads of phones, i finally decided on an N73 Music Edition and have managed to get one for £103 + p&p (£110) on eBay. It is Brand New and Unlocked. He got it as an insurance rebate from 3 but says there's no branding on it. So have i got a good deal here?

Anyway, what are some of the first things i should do with my new cool phone? Any particular apps etc/ways to set up the camera so its better etc?

Re: Nokia N73 - Discussion Thread

The phones arrived. Looks lush.

It's on firmware version 3.0705.1.0.31

I'm assured it's the music version (and it certainly looks like it), however the button on the right doesn't have the music picture printed, it's the 4 arrows in a diamond. How'd i know that it's definately the music edition of the N73? I'm a bit nervous to update through the PC Suite just incase it's a modified N73 with a black fascia.

Shouldn't make much difference anyway. If it upgrades to a non-music version then you can change the product code and then upgrade again.

Everything works fine, it just gets jammed when loading the Images & Videos in the galler. Just says Opening and seems to take forever.

Welcome to the world of N73 and S60. It does improve with the new software versions but the opening of the Gallery can be a very slow feature.
As far as the versions are concerned it appears that the latest versions are:
Music Edition 4.0812.4.2.1, Normal version 4.0812.4.0.1 so it may be worth updating the software on your phone.

Okay, i'm gonna update my phone. I have the black music edition but it has the diamond instead of the music button. If i'm gonna update, i'm not gonna end up with a non-music edition am i?
