Nokia N920

The flagship N900 isn't even in the shops yet, but apparently there's been a leak of a photo of it's successor, the eversosleek N920 - reported here:

Re: Nokia N920

Nokia really are taking the piece if this is real. It does look nice though. If its real i'll get this insted of the n900.

Edit: Hmm, mid to late 2010 release according to some google reports. It also doesn't have a hardware keyboard. I think I might have to stick with the n900, but knowing nokia there will be an n910 release a week after the n900.

Re: Nokia N920

Clearly a photoshop ... and from many months ago too.

The screen shows the OLD version of the Maemo software.

Not sure why you should upset though as EVERY company has new products in the works, your never going to be using the latest and greatest for long.

I've just pre ordered the n900, I know what you mean about companies having other products in the works. Its just that if you buy nokias flagship phone which has several errors which haven't been ironed out, you don't expect to read that they are releasing a phone which looks better specs wise a few months later. We heard details of the n900 only a few months into the n97 product cycle.

You weren't on the right lists/forums - I heard about the N900, or at least Nokias intent to do a Maemo based device with phone functionality a good 2 years ago.

Nokias Maemo devices haven't been brought out without thought in the way that the rest of the N series have - Nokia really do need to concentrate on a few N series models rather than the hundreds of minor variances that they keep on spewing out. It just confuses buyers.

Go into a shop, looking for a touch screen phone. Look at the Nokia range - N97, N97 Mini, 5800, 5530, X6. The differences are ultimately relatively minor, and just get the potential buyers going "which one????". Whilst I may knock the iPhone, Apple have the product range absolutely perfect - basically just one option.
