Question Nokia 6303 Camera Display Quality please Reply Please

Just upgraded my nokia to a 6303 and went to test the camera function. The pictures themselves look good once taken but when scanning to take the pic the camera quality is dire. It looks like there is heavy film grain, very heavy, all over the screen and it makes it difficult to tell what the picture will be like unless i take the photo to find out.

Is there a setting i'm not playing around with or is the phone a duff with problems , or lamer still is this just how that Nokia is?

Hoping someone who owns one of these phones can answer this as i only have a couple of days to send it back

Thanks
Chris

Re: Nokia 6303 Camera Display Quality

make sure the camera lens is clean (seen awful pics from phones when someone has put a greasy fingerprint on the lens). Other than that the phone will not be taking camera like pics anyway but I doubt they will be awful....are you using the autofocus correctly to focus before taking the pic?

Alternatively go to a phone shop and takes some snaps with a sample phone to see the difference.

I have just bought a Nokia 6303 last week and am very happy with it. However I have a big problem. Whenever I try to take a picture it takes but when saving a message says "Operation Failed". It does not matter if it set to save onto the card or the phone. I have not tried the video yet.

Any Ideas how to solve this? If not I will take it back to the O2 shop this week. If I do will I loose the Text messages that's on it?

If you install the supplied software, it will sync the phone with your PC and you won't lose anything. Alternatively you can do a backup to the memory card.

As for the error, I've not seen that so I guess its a faulty unit.

Just an update. The problem is solved. I went back to the O2 shop and they eventualy sorted it. A young lad of theirs initially fiddled with it and somehow got it to work, but when I went away I noticed it was only saving to the phone, not the card. I took it back and they exchanged for a new one.

The only thing is I have just noticed they have spelt my surname slightly wrong on the recipt, a "up" not "ap" at the end. I hope this will not make any difference. Being PAYG I guess not, or will it?
