In today's newsletter from Nintendo there was some information that I thought I'd share so that everyone is aware of it.

If you try to register a GCN or GBA game after 22 March 2009, you may receive the message "Product code entered is invalid." If you receive this message, please check to see what system your registration card is for.

So if you have any outstanding VIP cards from 'cube or gda now is the time to redeem them for stars.

I also got this newsletter and have a few stars but I never bother redeeming them as most things in the stars catalogue on Ninty's site are usually out of stock (even the Wii points conversion option) or the stuff on offer is just plain, gimmicky tat. I wish they'd just overhaul the whole stars thing altogether and instead give people to use the code that they scratch off to download game-specific extras like new costumes or levels etc.
