Nintendo 64 - only sound, no picture!

Just found an old Nintendo 64 laying around and though I should test it. The machine seems to work fine, but I only get sound and no picture. The cable that followed was scart only, no s-video composite (yellow cable), just straigt from N64 to the scart. Could that be the problem? Any got an idea? Got a Panasonic TH-42PV70 telly. By the way, this is the PAL version on N64.

Any help is great! Thanks!

EDIT: Also got a Yamaha RX-V 663 reciever, maybe have to go trough that?

do you have an old rf cable to test it with. might be that the scart is causing the problem. have a look to see if any of the connects on the console are missing loose aswell.

Check the TV to make sure it's not in RGB mode as the N64 only outputs composite over SCART. Also, I think some SCART cables designed for the Gamecube may not work with the N64, even though they fit the same 'Multi Out' socket.
