Wario World is released next week!

This one came out of nowhere - last I heard it had been delayed until the Winter!

So is it going to be any good? Anyone else getting it or looking forward to it?

I've just ordered mine from Amazon for £31.98 - bargain

Remember people:

It's developed by Treasure (of Ikaruga, Sin & Punishment, Gunstar Heros, Bangai-O etc etc fame)

Exactly. One of the (many) reasons why I'm looking forward to it.

Rats, now I've gone and pre-ordered it as well. Warioland 2 on the gameboy was one of my all time fave games (shame the GameBoy Advance version was so pants).

I've got to say that I have HUGE doubts over the validity of this release date. Consider that this hasn't been released in the US or Japan yet, or even been available to the press for reviewing. There were several changes to the game between its 2002 and 2003 E3 demo incarnations, and at the time of E3, Treasure said they hadn't finally decided on the number of levels in the game or it's total length.

Based on the above, I would consider it a miracle if this game is released on Friday.

Yep. It's due for release in the US on the 24th June, so I seriously doubt that play.com have the correct date for it. They originally done the same with Metroid, and they've done the same with F-Zero, and Mario Kart.

Personally, I think they've just half-inched the US relase dates.

Unless, or course, someone can confirm the UK release date?

Yeah, I'd like to know too please. I've heard it's really good, but way too short (under 6 hours or so)

So what's it like?

Me too. It seems that as the game is 8 months late in development, they've got to make as much money back as quickly as possible... so they've released it world-wide.
